The 2023 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series game between the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals averaged 1.1 million total viewers, ESPN announced Wednesday.

The Hurricanes' 4-1 win against the Capitals at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina, was the most-viewed Stadium Series game since the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series, when the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in overtime at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Viewership for the game peaked with 1.5 million total viewers. It was the second-most viewed game of the season across all networks, behind the 2023 Discover NHL Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 2. It was also the most-watched regular-season game of all time in the Raleigh market.
The 2023 Stadium Series was up 79 percent from last year's Stadium Series when the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Nashville Predators 3-2 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Feb. 26, 2022. It was up 13 percent from when the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 in their Stadium Series game at Falcon Stadium at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Feb. 15, 2020.
