Killorn naps with Cup

Alex Killorn took a well-deserved rest with the greatest sleeping trophy in sports.

The Tampa Bay Lightning forward was caught cuddling with the Stanley Cup during a catnap on the team flight home from Edmonton on Tuesday.

Killorn, who had 10 points in 24 Stanley Cup Playoff games, may have monopolized the Cup during his rest, but he didn't hog the trophy the whole trip. The Cup also enjoyed time sitting next to captain Steven Stamkos, albeit in the aisle.

The Lightning, who won their second championship in team history with a 2-0 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, will celebrate their title win with a boat parade in Tampa and rally at Raymond James Stadium on Wednesday.
Killorn, who
hosted a web series
on Instagram called "Dock Talks" during the four-month pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, may dust off the personal watercraft for the parade.
