Dubnyk is 7-1-1 in the past nine games with a 2.33 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
"We're not going to be winning games 6-5," Dubnyk said. "I guess we have kind of won a couple games 5-4 and 6-4. That's not how we win consistently. This is what we're about, and we have to start getting those feeling of low-scoring games. As long as we keep their score low, we've showed that we can score in flurries on the other end. It's going to be big for us."
Blues forward Patrik Berglund tied it 1-1 with a power-play goal at 17:41 of the second period. He also scored in a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Friday and has played three games since returning from a shoulder injury that caused him to miss the start of the season.
"I think more importantly, today I thought that [Berglund] started to get some more detail in his game," St. Louis coach Mike Yeo said. "What I like also is seeing him engage physically, and he's doing that. He's arriving on pucks. He's arriving on bodies, separating people and he's looked stronger every game he's played."
Wild defenseman Ryan Suter scored his fourth goal of the season with a wraparound that deflected off the skate of Blues goaltender Jake Allen at 4:26 of the first period for a 1-0 lead.
"We had a good first period, they had a good second and in the third, it was kind of back and forth," Suter said. "To come out with the extra point is huge for us."
It was the third straight game the Blues gave up a goal within the first five minutes, all losses. St. Louis (17-8-2) had more than 40 shots for the fourth time in the past six games, with 39 and 34 shots in the other two games. Allen made 23 saves.
