For one night, the NHL's San Jose franchise was not the Sharks, but rather "Los Tiburones."
And they had the jerseys to prove it.

As part of Hispanic Heritage Night at SAP Center the Sharks wore one of the coolest jerseys ever to hit the ice, designed by

The Sharks logo got a Día de los Muertos overhaul for the occasion with the addition of intricate, colorful details typical of the sugar skulls that are used in Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations. Día de Los Muertos is Nov. 1-2, but festivities often begin on Halloween. Skulls, along with flowers and other decorations are placed on home altars to as offerings to loved ones who have passed away.
Hernandez said it was a "huge honor" to design the jerseys.

In addition to being celebrated for his designand getting to take part in the ceremonial puck drop before the game, Hernandez painted a piece in the building that would also be auctioned off for the Sharks Foundation.

The unique jerseys, which the Sharks wore for warmups, were auctioned off at the game with the proceeds going to the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, a non-profit leader in Hispanic philanthropy.
