NEW YORK - The 2017-18 NHL regular season opens today with new digital experiences for fans in the flagship NHL mobile and TV apps. Operated by BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer streaming technology, fans can subscribe to NHL.TV to watch out-of-market games live and on demand in pristine HD quality anywhere (blackouts and restrictions apply).
Features released in the NHL mobile app include live DVR functionality that lets fans pause and rewind live games, and a new game preview feature for iOS that showcases head-to-head team stats and leaders as the season gets underway. Additionally, through the integration with Ticketmaster's mobile technology, fans now have access to improved ticket functionality that lets them view, resell, and share tickets from Ticketmaster directly from the NHL mobile app. As the NHL's official primary and resale ticketing partner, even tickets transferred or resold by fans via the app or online are 100% Ticketmaster verified and reissued in the new name, providing a level of security that no other marketplace can match.

As part of today's launch, fans tuning in from their living room can now customize the NHL TV app to their favorite team with all-new team pages and team video content.
Highlights from NHL's cross-platform streaming service include:
Mobile: 60fps (frames per second) live streaming video, available for select phones and tablets via the NHL app. The NHL app features live scores and stats, live-ticking game and power play clocks, video highlights, customized alerts, and breaking news. It is the only hockey app that lets fans watch, pause, and rewind out-of-market games live, see in-game highlights, and stream live game audio.
Living Room TV Apps: 60fps live and on demand streaming video available on supported connected devices, with new team customization capabilities for fans. Milestone markers on supported connected devices let fans jump directly to every big play. Available now on Apple TV and PlayStation, with updated apps on Roku and Xbox One launching soon.
Desktop: HD quality streaming through a responsive, in-page layout with the NHL.TV media player. Includes features like multi-game viewing, alternative camera angles and enhanced live game data.
