NEW YORK - The 2017-18 NHL regular season opens today with new digital experiences for fans in the flagship NHL mobile and TV apps. Operated by BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer streaming technology, fans can subscribe to NHL.TV to watch out-of-market games live and on demand in pristine HD quality anywhere (blackouts and restrictions apply).
Features released in the NHL mobile app include live DVR functionality that lets fans pause and rewind live games, and a new game preview feature for iOS that showcases head-to-head team stats and leaders as the season gets underway. Additionally, through the integration with Ticketmaster's mobile technology, fans now have access to improved ticket functionality that lets them view, resell, and share tickets from Ticketmaster directly from the NHL mobile app. As the NHL's official primary and resale ticketing partner, even tickets transferred or resold by fans via the app or online are 100% Ticketmaster verified and reissued in the new name, providing a level of security that no other marketplace can match.
