Rangers' Nash, Staal may play vs. Red Wings

New York Rangers forward Rick Nash and defenseman Marc Staal could play Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings (2 p.m. ET; NHLN, FS-D, MSG, SN).
Nash has been out since Jan. 22 because of a bone bruise in his left leg sustained blocking a shot against the Carolina Hurricanes.

"It was nice to get through a full practice and get back playing hockey," Nash told BlueshirtsUnited.com on Friday. "Everything I wanted to do we did today and I'm happy with the progress it's making.
"I hope [to play Saturday]. It's the same process; see how it feels tonight then talk with the doctors then go from there."
Nash has 12 goals and 33 points in 45 games this season.
"We'll see how he responds since today was his first practice with the team," coach Alain Vigneault said Friday. "If he responds well to today's practice I would say there's a very good chance that he would be in the lineup [Saturday]."
Staal, who has missed the past two games because of a lower-body injury, practiced Friday. In 62 games this season he has 13 points while averaging 19:46 per game in ice time.
Vigneault said center Derick Brassard, who has the flu, could join the team in Detroit late Friday or early Saturday.
Goalie Henrik Lundqvist will return to the lineup Saturday after missing three games with neck spasms.
