Defenseman facing discipline for kneeing against Sandin of Maple Leafs

Neal Pionk will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday.

The Winnipeg Jets defenseman is facing discipline for kneeing against Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Rasmus Sandin.
The incident occurred at 5:45 of the third period in Winnipeg's 6-3 win Sunday. Pionk was not assessed a penalty on the play. Sandin left the game and did not return.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: kneeing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
