Nazem Kadri will have an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday.

The Colorado Avalanche forward is facing discipline for an illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk.
Kadri is not playing in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup First Round at the St. Louis Blues on Friday. A player is offered an in-person hearing if the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more. In this case, Kadri is suspended until the hearing takes place.
Faulk also is not playing in Game 3. He has an upper-body injury.
The incident occurred with 13:34 remaining in the third period of Colorado's 6-3 win in Game 2 at Ball Arena on Wednesday. Kadri was given a match penalty at 6:30.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
The in-person hearing would be held via Zoom.
