William Nylander Kasperi Kapanen 12.7

TORONTO --
William Nylander
and Kasperi Kapanen are expected to play Saturday after the Toronto Maple Leafs forwards were involved in a minor vehicle collision, a team official said Friday.

Nylander and Kapanen, who were on the Maple Leafs charter to Boston on Friday, were not injured in the accident that occurred on Kipling Avenue shortly after leaving the Lakeshore Lions practice facility in the city's west end Friday afternoon. It is not known who was driving.
"I'm just happy everybody was OK," Nylander said. "Me and [Kapanen] are good. [We were] just on the way to the airport and then it's just a little second there that's needed to get into a little accident.
"A car just turned into us ... that's what happened. I'm just happy everybody was OK and now we can move forward from that."
The Maple Leafs play at the Boston Bruins on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, CBC, SN, SN1, NESN, NHL.TV). It will be the second game for Nylander since signing a six-year contract with an average annual value of $6.9 million Dec. 1. He missed the first 28 games of the season.
Nylander took part in his first full practice of the season with Toronto on Friday after making his season debut in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. Nylander, who is coming off of consecutive 61-point seasons, did not have a point in 12:48 of ice time, including 2:03 in the third period. He did not play in overtime.
"It felt OK," Nylander said after the game. "There's a lot of difference from practicing by yourself and with the team back home (in Sweden) Started feeling better and the legs were OK, so it felt like an OK first game."
Kapanen has an NHL career-high 11 goals and 21 points in 29 games this season.
