Volleyball-16x9

Offseason in the South Bay is more than just going to the beach.
Beach volleyball often becomes a part of people's everyday lives.
This is very true for many of the LA Kings players that stay around in LA for offseason.
Recently,

For both players, they started really playing beach volleyball once they started living in South Bay. Derek explained that he "took a volleyball class in college, but definitely got more into it after moving to Hermosa."

"We have a real good group and play three days a week as a good workout," said Jack.
What's a better workout than getting to spend the day on the beach?
In this conversation, one thing was clear by how many times his name came up. Jake Muzzin would have been a professional volleyball player if he didn't play hockey.
When asked who was the best digger and hitter, Jack's answer was simple: "Muzz."
Of course, Derek had to add in a couple of his own questions. According to him, "Nate Thompson is the worst player on the team, but Jack is the best ball retreiver."
Ball retreiver? Is that like a golden retreiver? If so, we don't think this is a bad thing ...
South Bay is also home to some of the best volleyball tournaments to watch.
For Jack, "Smack Ball is always a really fun tournament to be at;" while Derek prefers to be at the AVP Tournament each year.
You're not the only one, Derek ...
