LA Kings Staff Installed Solar Panels with Grid Alternatives

On Tuesday, November 7th, as part of LA Kings Green, the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation participated in GRID Alternatives' Los Angeles Solarthon 2017. Throughout Solarthon 2017, an 8-day initiative, solar power was provided to multiple veteran and low-income families in the Greater Los Angeles area, cutting their electric bills immensely.

LA Kings staff, including TV Analyst Jim Fox, were on site at the home of the Juarez family to install 7 solar panels on the roof. By the end of the day, the homeowners were able to utilize their new panels for power.

With the help of the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation, the Juarez family is expected to cut their electricity bill by nearly ninety percent!
The LA Kings Green umbrella program aims to bring more awareness to the most critical environmental issues and will continue to drive positive impact through fan and community engagement.
