Bruins' Liles to have Player Safety hearing

Supplemental discipline possible for incident with Lightning's Kucherov

Boston Bruins defenseman John-Michael Liles will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday for an incident with Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov during a game Tuesday at Amalie Arena.
The incident occurred at 17:30 of the first period. No penalty was assessed on the play. Kucherov did not play the remainder of the first period but returned for the second period.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
Boston won 1-0 in overtime.
