Dougie Hamilton and Andrei Svechnikov taught Warren Foegele a valuable lesson: Always keep your head on a swivel, even while sleeping.

The Carolina Hurricanes commemorated National Napping Day by posting a video of Hamilton and Svechnikov taping up Foegele's phone while napping on the team bus recently.

The Hurricanes may have pulled off the best napping-day prank, but the Pittsburgh Penguins also celebrated the day with a prank. Pittsburgh posted a picture of broadcaster Dan Potash's head covered with shaving cream after he fell asleep on a recent flight.

But National Napping Day isn't just about pranks. The Chicago Blackhawks used the day to poll their locker room in an effort to find out which team member sleeps the most.
