It's Always Gritty in Philadelphia. At least it was on this week's episode.
The long-running FX comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" had a special guest star this week - the (sometimes) lovable orange furball mascot of the Philadelphia Flyers.
In the scene, Dennis (played by Glenn Howerton) and Mac (Rob McElhenney) try to pitch an alcohol brand through the door of a bathroom stall to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. When the stall door opens, turns out it's Gritty.
The mascot is clearly a fan of the show, making a reference to season 4 episode "The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis" in a tweet about his cameo.
The season 16 episode of the ground-breaking comedy, titled "Celebrity Booze: The Ultimate Cash Grab," showed Dennis and Mac striking out with "Breaking Bad" actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul earlier in the night.
After Dennis asks Mac how he possibly confused Hurts with "a giant orange monster" Gritty took a little exception to it and patted Dennis on the head. Mac started to pitch Gritty before being cut off with Dennis: "We're here to pitch a celebrity! Gritty is just... Gritty."
