EDM@CGY: Oilers, Flames commemorate Colby Cave

The Edmonton Oilers held a moment of silence and played a touching tribute video to late forward Colby Cave before their exhibtion game against the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.

Cave played three NHL seasons for the Oilers and Boston Bruins. He died on April 11, four days after he had surgery to remove a colloid cyst from his brain. He was 25 years old.

Tuesday marked the first game back for the Oilers since Cave's death. The NHL season was paused on March 12 due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

The tribute video included some highlights of Cave's big career momennts, including his first NHL goal. There was also a clip where Cave is shown signing the jersey of a young fan and asking "Always remember me, OK?"
