St. Louis Blues forward David Backes took to Twitter on Thursday night and offered his fans, or anyone with $16 to spare, a chance to shave his head.
Backes posted a video to raise money for Athletes for Animals. The organization describes itself as a "united group of athletes lending our voices and platforms for companion animals [with a] shared passion for rescuing and protecting the welfare of homeless pets."

"Do you want to shave my head," Backes asks in the video. "Donate at least 16 dollars to our charitable giving challenge, Brackets for Good, and if we win the $10,000 grand prize, you can be the one to shave my head."
Brackets for Good is a NCAA Tournament-style fundraiser in which charities compete against each other round-by-round with each dollar donated counting as a point. As of Thursday night, Athletes for Animals had raised more than $5,000 and appeared headed to the Final Four.
