Lightning prospect roundup: Game 7 coming up for Katchouk and Raddysh

The pair of Bolts prospects face Owen Sound in a winner-take-all game tonight

With an emphasis on drafting and developing, the Tampa Bay Lightning have created one of the strongest pipelines in the National Hockey League over the last few years. Each week, will provide statistical updates on key prospects throughout the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), the United States Hockey League (USHL), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and will highlight select players from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

LW Boris Katchouk, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
Drafted 44th overall (2nd Round) in 2016

Katchouk has five points (1g-4a) in his last three games of the series vs. Owen Sound, and leads his Soo in scoring with 15 points (8g-7a) through 10 games. His eight goals are tied for third among all OHL skaters for the playoffs so far.

RW Taylor Raddysh, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
Drafted 58th overall (2nd Round) in 2016

Right behind Katchouk in scoring with 13 points, Raddysh too has five points in the last three games of the series (2g-3a). His three power-play goals are tied with Katchouk for the Soo team lead.


Moose Jaw Warriors vs. Swift Current Broncos - Swift Current won 4-3

Drafted 178th overall (6th Round) in 2016

The Warriors fell in seven to Swift Current in their second round matchup, with Sosunov registering 15 shots on net through 14 playoff games.

C Alex Barré-Boulet, Blainville-Boisbriand Armada
Signed as a free agent to an entry-level contract in 2018

Barré-Boulet did not play in the final game of their series vs. Moncton. Despite being held to just six games through two series, he is still third on the team in scoring with 13 points and is second in goals with eight.

Halifax Mooseheads vs. Charlottetown Islanders - Charlottetown won 4-0

C Otto Somppi, Halifax Mooseheads
Drafted 206th overall (7th Round) in 2016

Somppi only appeared in two games for Halifax due to injury, and registered one assist.


C Cole Guttman, Dubuque Fighting Saints
Drafted 180th overall (6th Round) in 2017

Through 17 games this season, Guttman recorded 11 points. Guttman is out the remainder of the season after undergoing hip surgery.

D Nick Perbix, Omaha Lancers
Drafted 169th overall (6th Round) in 2017

Perbix finished seventh overall in club scoring with 29 points in 56 games. He led all Lancers defensemen in goals (4) and assists (25). Omaha has a first round bye in the 2018 Clark Cup Playoffs, and will play Game 1 on Saturday, April 21st against the winner of the Fargo vs. Tri-City series.

The Crunch finished their regular season with an overtime win at Utica (Vancouver) on Friday and a home loss to Rochester (Buffalo) on Saturday … Mathieu Joseph finished as the leading scorer with 53 points and assists leader with 38 … Alexander Volkov's 23 goals paced all skaters … Syracuse opens the first round of the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs against Rochester with a home back-to-back this Friday and Saturday before the five-game series shifts to Rochester on Wednesday.
