SEATTLE, Wash. -- August 20, 2021 --Today, the Seattle Kraken (@SeattleKraken) announce they have signed goaltender Antoine Bibeau to a one-year, two-way contract ($750,000 AAV).
"After a strong season in Chicago last year, we're excited to add Antoine to our mix of goaltenders," said Seattle Kraken General Manager Ron Francis. "His experience at both the NHL and AHL level makes him a valuable addition to our organization."

Bibeau, who stands at six-foot-three, 205 pounds, posted a 5-2-2 record in eight games last season for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL). Among AHL goaltenders who played more than five games, Bibeau ranked 13th and 11th in goals-against average (2.49) and save percentage (.912), respectively. His 20 goals allowed were the fourth fewest among AHL goaltenders to play in more than five games.
The 27-year-old has played in four career NHL games, two with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2016-17 and two with the Colorado Avalanche in 2019-20, earning a 2-1-0 record with a 2.54 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in those games. In seven AHL seasons (2014-15 to 2020-21), Bibeau played in 192 games with the Toronto Marlies, San Jose Barracuda, Colorado Eagles and Chicago Wolves. He earned an AHL career record of 100-64-28 with a 2.74 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. Bibeau set AHL career highs in both goals-against average (2.37) and save percentage (.917) during the 2017-18 season with the Barracuda en route to earning a berth to the AHL All-Star Game.
Prior to his professional career, the Victoriaville, Quebec native played four seasons of minor hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Lewiston Maineiacs, Prince Edward Island Rocket, Charlottetown Islanders and Val-d'Or Foreurs, logging a 58-38-10 record with a 3.24 goals-against average and .901 save percentage. During the 2013-14 Memorial Cup, Bibeau earned All-Tournament honors and was named the tournament's top goaltender after posting a 16-4-4 record with 2.80 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. He was originally drafted by Toronto in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
