About Aaron:
Schneekloth began his pro career in 2001 after playing collegiate hockey at the University of North Dakota, and went on to have significant stints with teams including the St. John’s Maple Leafs, Houston Aeros, and ultimately the Colorado Eagles, where he played from 2006 until his retirement in 2013. Following his playing career, which included 600-plus games across the AHL, CHL, and ECHL, Schneekloth joined the Eagles’ coaching staff as an assistant. He was named head coach in 2016. In his two seasons as head coach, he led the team to back-to-back Kelly Cup championships in 2017 and 2018 before the franchise transitioned to the AHL. Behind the bench in the AHL as an assistant, Schneekloth again was elevated to head coach in Colorado for the 2024-25 season, in which he led the team to a top overall finish in the Pacific division.
Fun Fact: While playing for the Eagles in the CHL, Schneekloth was named Most Outstanding Defenseman two seasons in a row (2008-09, 2009-10).
