Throughout Pride month and the rest of the year, the LA Kings are honored to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and their valuable contributions to the sport of hockey. We are dedicated to endorsing programs that promote diversity and increase access to ice sports in the greater Los Angeles area.

This Sunday June 11, the LA Kings and LA Galaxy are teaming up with AEG for the annual LA Pride Parade! For more information,click here.

The LA Kings host an annual Pride Night where players, staff, fans, and partners come together to show support for the LGBTQIA+ community. To take a look at last years celebration, click here. Stay tuned for the 23-24 Theme Nights and Promotions schedule which will be annouced later this summer!

Educate

  • Familiarize yourself with terminology LGBTQ+ people use to identify themselves
  • Pride Month is celebrated each June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan
  • One of the first Pride parades was held here in Los Angeles, organized by Christopher Street West Association in 1970. This parade is now known as LA PRIDE
  • Visit an exhibit or live performance at the Los Angeles LGBT Center

Celebrate

  • Join the LA Kings, LA Galaxy and AEG at the LA Pride Parade on June 11 orattend another LA Pride event throughout the city this month
  • Visit the DTLA Proud Pride Marketplace every Saturday in June at The Bloc
  • Visit Queer Mercado held the 3rd Saturday of each month in the parking lot of Hilda L. Solis Learning Academy

Act

  • Join or support the LA Blades, the first openly Gay and Lesbian ice hockey team in the US, on the ice
  • Support the You Can Play Project and their mission to ensure safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports, including LGBTQ+ athletes, coaches and fans
    • Follow their tips for creating an inclusive locker room
  • Support theLos Angeles LGBT Center and their mission to build a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society
  • Support True Colors United and their mission to implement innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the unique experiences of LGBTQ young people
