Today, the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation helped welcome over 2,000 kids from the Long Beach Parks, Recreation, & Marine Department Camp and Summer Fun Day sites to a day at the beach.
When the kids arrived, they were greeted with new LA Kings drawstring bags and sunglasses by LA Kings staff and members of the LA Kings Ice Crew.

The beach day was filled with ball hockey, beach sports, dance contests, and free time to play in the sand or ocean.
Of course, no Kings event is complete without Bailey joining in on the fun.

LA Kings Vice President of Community Relations and the Kings Care Foundation, Jennifer Pope, explained that "partnering with Long Beach Parks and Recreation to bring local kids to the beach is the perfect way to end the summer. Many of these kids here today have never experienced the beach and our staff, along with our partners are thrilled to throw them the perfect beach party. We're hoping to have a lot of these kids participate in our new ball hockey program with Parks and Rec this fall!"

Amanda Ellis, Director of Community Relations for the LA Kings, highlighted that "you could see it on the kids faces, we definitely have some new LA Kings fans after today. Between the beach side street hockey and just having a good time on the beach, there was no shortage of smiles and good times at the Long Beach All City Beach Day."
Hopefully, this was the best ending to summer before these kids head back to school!
