LA Kings Habitat Build Group

On Wednesday, LA Kings staff, family and alumni lent a hand to Delta Air Lines for their 264th Habitat for Humanity Build. Delta employees even flew in from Nashville on their day off to assist.
This build included not only the primary home, but also an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) that the homeowner plans to give to her son when he returns from Army Basic Training.

Volunteers installed insulation and siding on the primary house as well as laid shingles on the roof of the ADU. LA Kings Hockey Hall of Fame trainer Pete Demers was even operating the saw to assist with adding siding to the primary house.
The Habitat staff were wonderful teachers, helping their individual groups of volunteers complete their tasks to bring this home closer to completion.

"It's great to not only work for an organization that values community service, but to also have partners who share those values," said Shaunna Dandoy, Kings Care Foundation Supervisor.
"The LA Kings and Delta have such an impact on their communities, it is inspiring to be a part of. Being able to bring my dad today made the experience that much more fun!"
Delta has made a commitment to build five homes in the Los Angeles area, with this build being the third.
