On Wednesday, August 14, the LA Kings and American Sports Entertainment Company (ASEC) hosted a special Community Open House at the newly-named LA Kings Pickwick Ice Center.
The event ushered in a new era at the long-time community institution, which is located in Burbank, CA.

Attendees included Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy, Kings COO Kelly Cheeseman, Kings forward Kyle Clifford and the Operator of Pickwick Ice Center Brad Berman.
The community event included speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and on-ice activities for the public.

Formerly known as Pickwice Ice, the facility has been closed the past several weeks while undergoing a three-phase improvement project at a cost of approximately one million dollars.

After the ceremony, Kings Alumni Daryl Evans and the Kings Hockey Development Team hosted a free youth hockey clinic from 4:45 - 5:45 pm.
After the clinic, the ice was open to the public for a free open skate available to all ages.
