The LA Kings participated in "LA Kings Night" as the Dodgers faced the San Diego Padres on Saturday, August 25 at Dodger Stadium.
Before the game, Tyler Toffoli, Alec Martinez, Nate Thompson and Peter Budaj all tried their luck in the batting cage. Each player had some success, but it's probably safe to say they're not quitting their day jobs anytime soon.

Toffoli was feeling confident and went up to bat against Ross Stripling (known as "Chicken Strip" on Players' Weekend). But the 2018 MLB All-Star's pitch was just a little too fast for the forward, as evidenced below.

The Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, had a bit of fun with the Kings players by giving them pointers on their technique after batting practice.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance that evening received a Dave Roberts Jersey Giveaway and fittingly, his daughter Emmerson sang the national anthem.

When it came time to throw the first pitch, Budaj called in Bailey to help him look for back up.
They spotted teammate Dustin Brown, who tagged in for Budaj during the ceremonial event.

Thompson, Martinez, Brown and Toffoli threw out the ceremonial first pitch, with Brown's pitch trickling away from the catcher. If you ask us though, it was the wind.

Retired broadcaster Bob Miller showed he hasn't missed a beat, as he replicated Vin Scully's iconic opening line, "It's time for Dodger baseball" to kick off the game.

Fans who bought tickets through the LA Kings ticket pack received a Kings-themed baseball jersey, with one lucky fan winning a signed version.

The Kings Care Foundation also auctioned off custom Brown, Toffoli, Martinez and Thompson LA Dodgers jerseys, signed by each player, which raised over $6K for the foundation.

The night ended in a dramatic fashion as Justin Turner delivered a walked off in the 12th inning to give the Dodgers the win.
