What is it about work that makes us do the exact opposite?
Why is it when we want something, we are so quick to imagine it, have the desire for it, but when it comes time to do something about it, we always find an excuse or get "too busy?"
This may not be the case for you, but I know for me, there are countless things that I "want" or believe I can achieve, yet I haven't gotten around to them yet.
There's always next week, right?

For me, this lack of follow through has always been rooted in a place of fear. Even this blog, I feel like I gain momentum, and then I get "too busy" or think "no one wants to read about that" because I get self conscious for the content I am putting out there and the possible judgment.
With fitness and nutrition, I am so dedicated, I ALWAYS make time, but it wasn't always that way. I used to hate working out, I would half-ass my way through training, I just wanted to get through it. It wasn't until I made the mental commitment that I started to love training and crave that feeling of a killer workout. I didn't succeed until I fell in love with the work and the hustle.
So, why is it that I am so laser focused on my health, yet I get lazy with the things that I am scared of? Like writing for strangers to read, taking photographs of myself, and sharing my experiences? Why is it that I always find an excuse? Well, just like when I made the decision to put my body and wellness first, starting this month, I have made it a goal to post something new here once a week at the minimum. I started out saying three times a week, but when making goals you have to be realistic, you have to set yourself up for success, and any bonus work is a cherry on top. Once you start the habit, the growth and execution follows.
So maybe you sit down and pick one thing that scares you, set a goal, make a plan of the work you are going to do to achieve it, and build the habit up. We start small in all things, we take baby steps, which will become big steps, and that thing that was once "work", will become second nature. So get after it, because you truly can do anything, you just have to decide and put in the work.
So here is to loving the hustle, and knowing that the work is the process of training you to become the best, happiest, most accomplished, life loving version of your awesome self!
