Winnipeg, Oct. 19, 2026 – The Jets Town Takeover will bring hockey and mental health programming, exciting prizes and a Winnipeg Jets game watch party to one lucky rural community on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2027, when the Jets visit the Nashville Predators. Fans can enter the contest now at winnipegjets.com/jetstowntakeover.
The Jets Town Takeover returned last season to celebrate and connect with rural communities, bringing the gameday experience and programming to Jets fans in the winning town, Gimli.
Fans can enter the contest now by submitting a video or written submission highlighting why their town is deserving of being selected as a finalist. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 11:59 p.m., after which three entries will be selected and put to public vote to determine the winning town. For more information and to enter, visit winnipegjets.com/jetstowntakeover.
The day will begin with Project 11 mental wellness programming at the community’s schools, including a pizza lunch and visit from Mick E. Moose, and a Winnipeg Jets Alumni and Friends on-ice session for local minor hockey teams. The whole community can join in on the fun with a free, all-ages Winnipeg Jets vs. Nashville Predators watch party that evening with Jet Dogs, prizes, Mick E. Moose and familiar gameday personalities hosting the night.
Previous winners of the Jets Town Takeover are Oakville (2023), Stonewall (2022) and Morris (2019).
