WINNIPEG, Sept. 2, 2026 – The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, along with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have made coaching and hockey staff updates in advance of the 2026-27 season.

Matt Larke joins the Jets coaching staff as their Skills Coach. Larke spent the previous four seasons as Skills Consultant for the Seattle Kraken. The Oxford, Mich. native played eight seasons of professional hockey before beginning his coaching career in 2017.

Former Moose Head Athletic Therapist Zach Salmonson transitions to the Jets medical staff as Massage Therapist and Assistant Athletic Therapist. Salmonson spent the past 11 seasons with Manitoba’s medical staff, including the past seven as Head Athletic Therapist.

The Moose have promoted Andy Grant to Head Athletic Therapist, while Layne Richardson has joined Manitoba’s medical staff as Assistant Athletic Therapist. Grant spent the previous four seasons as Assistant Athletic Therapist for the Moose. Richardson spent the past three seasons as Athletic Therapist for the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors.
