PROJECTED LINES:
Cizikas, Pelech Updates:

Casey Cizikas skated 10 or 15 minutes before morning skate with the assistant coaches - his first on-ice session since his upper-body injury on Dec. 15. Capuano said he doesn't think Cizikas isn't close to returning.
Adam Pelech skated during the team's morning skate and is progressing well according to Capuano. Pelech suffered an upper-body injury on Nov. 28 vs Calgary, but could join the Islanders on their upcoming road trip.
"Pelly is getting closer," Capuano said. "He'll do a bit of work after the pre-game skate and we'll see how he feels on the trip."

Projected Capitals Lines:
They Said It:

Jack Capuano on Islanders vs. Capitals:
"With Washington, they are a high skill team, but we have to be disciplined in how we play them. The last time we played them they scored two power-play goals, which was the difference in the game. We know going in that we have to work hard, stay out of the box, make high-percentage plays. When they have that kind of skill you have to make them play a 200-foot game."
