BELLOWS SCORING WITH PORTLAND:

Kieffer Bellows' junior hockey career is off to a good start. The Islanders 2016 first-round pick (20th overall) potted six points (4G, 2A) in three games last week, helping lead the Portland Winterhawks to a perfect 3-0-0 week.

Bellows, a 50-goal scorer for the US National Team Development Program, scored in every game last week. The Edina, MN native scored the eventual winner in a 3-0 victory over the Spokane Chiefs to start the week and potted a power-play goal in a 5-4 OT win over the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday. Bellows capped his week with a three-point night (2G, 1A) in an commanding 8-2 win over Kelowna on Sunday and was named the game's first star.
The former collegiate player is fitting in nicely with the Winterhawks with 12 points (6G,6A) in his first nine games. Bellows is second on the team in goals, fourth in point and is currently riding a four-game point streak.

QUENNEVILLE HAS SIX-POINT WEEK:

The Islanders' 2016 seventh-round pick (200th overall) recorded six points (2G, 4A) last week and now sits atop the Tigers scoring lead with 14 points (2G, 12A) in seven games this season.
Last week, Quenneville had a four-point night (1G, 3A) in a 5-2 win over Saskatoon Blades on Friday. Quenneville was involved on four of the Tigers' five goals and was named the first star of the game. Two nights earlier, the Edmonton, AB native potted his first goal of the season and added an assist in a 5-4 win over Everett. Quenneville's assist was the 100th of his WHL career.
Quenneville is off to the best start of his junior career, riding a seven-game point streak out of the gate. The offensive defenseman is currently second in scoring among WHL blueliners.
On Tuesday, Quenneville was selected to Team WHL for the 2017 CIBC Canada-Russia series. The Islanders prospect and WHL selects will play Team Russia in Moose Jaw, Sask., on Monday, Nov 6, and play in Swift Current on Tuesday, November 7th.

COLLIN ADAMS GETS GWG FOR UND:

Islanders 2016 sixth round draft pick, Collin Adams scored the game-winning goal with 3:49 left in the third period on lift No. 8 North Dakota over St. Lawrence 2-1 on Friday night. With the GWG on Friday night, Adams is the only player on the UND team with more then one goal this season.
Next weekend, Adams and the now No.4 ranked UND host No. 8 Minnesota in a weekend series in Grand Forks starting Friday night.
