Vegas Golden Knights Conclude Meal Donation Program

VEGAS (June 1, 2020) - The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, June 1, that the organization concluded its program to provide hot, ready to eat meals to local medical professionals and first responders through the meal donation program. In conclusion, the Golden Knights provided over 13,450 meals to medical professionals and first responders throughout the Vegas Valley, not including additional meals for local Las Vegas Metro officers.

The Golden Knights began their meal donation program in April for seven weeks through May as a way to thank and support those working tirelessly to stop the spread of COVID-19. The program was originally planned to run five weeks, but with the assistance of generous donations to the foundation and organization partners, the team was able to extend the meal deliveries, continuing to provide meals a day to preselected local hospitals five days a week. This meal donation program was made possible by donations from the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, select Vegas Golden Knights players and select Vegas Golden Knights partners. The majority of the meals were prepared and provided by MacKenzie River Pizza inside City National Arena.
