Practice

On Sunday morning, the Golden Knights hit the ice for the first time with a practice at the New Jersey Devils' practice facility, adjacent to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Here were the three main storylines from today's practice.
1. James Neal didn't skate
Despite scoring his team-best seventh goal on Friday against the Avalanche, Neal had a rough outing, losing several teeth from an errant stick before the afternoon was over.
As a result, Neal is sporting a nasty gash on his lip, in addition to the missing teeth, making participation in Sunday's practice a bit unnecessary.
Gerard Gallant said, however, that Neal is expected to be in the lineup against the Islanders tomorrow night.
So nothing to see here.

2. Vadim Shipachyov news
It had been reported on Saturday morning that center Vadim Shipachyov had been suspended for electing to leave the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
The team can confirm that this information is true.

3. Team bonding
Whenever a team goes away for 11 days, it represents a break from the norm.
Where rather than players showing up to practice at City National Arena and returning to their families, Golden Knights pretty much will spending 24/7 with one another for most of the next two weeks.
Which for any team, especially a new team, represents a fantastic opportunity to get to know one another.
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare shed some light how on Saturday night, 100 percent of the team - every player - attended dinner together as one.
Not one missing body.
"We had a nice little dinner," Bellemare said. "It's a brand new team, so everything is still quite fresh. It doesn't matter how many guys come together, it's good for the team.
"But we all went.
"It was fun."
