LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Knights picked up their third win in a row with a thrilling 5-4 victory against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena. Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault each scored in the second period for Vegas, but after a Joe Pavelski goal midway through the third, the home team found itself down, 4-2. Michael Amadio picked up his second goal of the season to cut the Dallas lead to 4-3 before Stone's second of the night knotted the score at 4-4. With less than five minutes to play, Max Pacioretty scored the game-winning goal as the Golden Knights picked up a 5-4 victory.
OPPOSITION UPDATE
The 2021-22 season has been far from glorious for the Flyers as they enter Friday's game on a 10-game losing streak with an 0-8-2 record in that stretch. This week has been a tough one in Philadelphia as Alain Vigneault was fired by the team after a 7-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday. Mike Yeo took over as interim head coach Monday morning ahead of a 7-5 loss to Colorado that night. The Flyers were shutout by the New Jersey Devils, 3-0, in their last outing Wednesday night.
Claude Giroux is the top-scoring Flyer with 21 points (9G, 12A) in 24 games. Cam Atkinson (9G, 5A) and Sean Couturier (5G, 9A) rank second on the team with 14 points apiece. Carter Hart has made the majority of the starts for the Flyers and has a 5-8-3 mark with a 2.90 goals-against average.
WHEN LAST WE MET
The Golden Knights and Flyers will square off for the first time since Jan. 2, 2020, when they collide Friday night. Vegas defeated Philadelphia, 5-4, in that meeting at T-Mobile Arena. Max Pacioretty scored twice to lead the Golden Knights while Shea Theodore, Jon Merrill and Cody Glass also found the back of the net. The win leveled the season series at 1-1 as the Flyers defeated the Golden Knights, 6-2, on Oct. 21, 2019.

- Give the Golden Knights their first four-game win streak of the year
KEYS TO THE GAME
It's A Trap!I've always wanted to make a Star Wars reference in one of these things. Star Wars aside, Vegas can't fall into the trap of playing a team that's in freefall. The Golden Knights beat the hottest team in the league on Wednesday and will need to bring the same fire against a Flyers team that has lost six straight.
Great Time to Get Hot: Vegas hasn't put up a win streak longer than three games so far this season. Friday's contest is a great opportunity to bank two points and a whole lot of confidence before a long trip.
