It was the morning after one of the biggest post-season wins in Golden Knights franchise history but it fell like just another day at the rink.
A short skate, coaches poring over video and players making equipment adjustments were the main activities on Tuesday morning just over 12 hours after a 4-3 overtime win on Monday.
Vegas now leads the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in this second-round best-of-seven series. Game 3 is set for San Jose on Wednesday.

Turk Talks

Highlights from head coach Gerard Gallant's media availability on Tuesday:
Thoughts on Tomas Tatar returning to the lineup…
He played really well. I was happy with him. He played really well. He got back to what he was supposed to do. We'll see tomorrow. He's going to be in the lineup.
Thoughts on possibly adding Luca Sbisa into the lineup…
We think about it every day. That's our job as coaches. He's ready to play, but our team has played really well. He's a big part of our group, but sooner or later he'll be in the lineup. I don't know when.
Thoughts on the Sharks coming back in the third period…
It's playoff hockey. We watch it every night. The Sharks made some plays and they played good hockey. They capitalized on them. Just after the power play Evander Kane scored a beautiful goal. The second goal, the tying goal, they battled around the net and they made good plays. It happens.
Thoughts on how the team handled the adversity last night…
There's no issues there. Adversity to me, that's not much adversity. You're going to lose some games in the playoffs, you're going to lose some games, you're going to lose some leads. Every team does it. Our team battles back and we don't have to worry about that. We're up 3-1 and we gave up two goals in the third period, because they played well. They had a good game plan and they battled back. You just move on and keep playing.
Thoughts on not getting too high or too low and the importance of this during the playoffs…
That's exactly what we're trying to do. You're going to have some highs in hockey games and you're going to have some lows. It could go from shift to shift. Forget about what's happened in the past and you move forward. That's what makes you control. Control going forward and playing good hockey. What happened on the last shift, you can't worry about that.
Thoughts on the team's top line…
Well I think you look around the league and you look at some of the series. You have a good line with those guys. You have some real good games and you have your games that you don't get the same success. I saw that the other night when they win they have 45 points or something like that and when they lose its three or four points. It's when your lines are going things work out. Everybody has top shut down defenseman and everybody has top lines, you do the best that you can.
Thoughts about playing all four lines and not just their top lines…
You play them as much as you can, but I like to play four lines as much as I can. I like to make sure we have all of our players involved in our game. It's not just about scoring, that's not what a hockey game is about. It's about competing on both ends of the rink. You need some guys that play physical hockey and that play bumping and grinding the defense down. It's not all about putting your top guys out there to try to score every shift.
Thoughts about their efforts this series…
They did a good job overall. We play the price when we work hard. We've got to play a little bit better defensively. Overall, I think we're playing good this series.
Thoughts on the overtimes…
It doesn't matter to me. If we've got to play five periods, it doesn't matter. These are big games. The overtime is fun for the fans and all of that, but I know it's tough on the players and tough on the coaches. We've had three overtime games. I think two of them went to double OT. It tires the players out. Today, the guys are getting ready. Not many guys are going on the ice. You get ready for the game at this time of the year. As long as it takes to win a hockey game, that's what you're going to do.
