Fleury

The smile.
It hasn't been there, but now it was.

Sure, there have been a lot of smiles around the Golden Knights this season. Especially lately. It's funny how a four-game winning streak and 19-9-1 record will do that for you.
Although up until Tuesday morning, the effervescent smile of Marc-Andre Fleury has been largely absent from this team for two months, ever since Vegas' No. 1 goalie went down with a concussion on October 13.
On Tuesday morning, however, Fleury's smile was back. Especially as Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said that the plan is for Fleury to start in goal tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Fleury was activated from injured reserve on Sunday.
"Yup," Gallant said. "Unless Dave Prior changes it."
This was said by Gallant with a laugh, of course.
Dave Prior is the team's goalie coach. And especially when it comes to injury-related matters, Gallant yields to his staff when determining if a player is ready to return.
Let the experts do their thing, is Gallant's mantra. His comments were more referring to the fact that Fleury will start tonight, barring the unforeseen circumstances where his goalie coach negates it this afternoon.
In short, Fleury is starting tonight.
"He hasn't played a lot of games," Gallant said.
"He's going to go in there. He's going to play as hard as he can play. Hopefully there's not much rust on him. He's been out two months. He's got to get the chance to play sometime. We're looking forward to it. He looks really good in practice."
In limited action this season, Fleury is 3-1-0, having played each of the team's first four games of the season. He defeated the Dallas Stars, and the Arizona Coyotes twice, before losing to the Detroit Red Wings on the night he was injured.
Vegas has miraculously gone 16-8-1 in his absence.
