The Vegas Golden Knights (18-11-0) increased their win streak to three games as they picked up a 5-3 win against the New Jersey Devils (10-13-5) on Thursday night at Prudential Center.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Jack Hughes got the scoring started for New Jersey with his fifth goal of the season just 1:41 into the contest. Midway through the frame, Dylan Coghlan fired a shot through traffic to tie the game at 1-1. William Carrier netted his fourth of the year early in the second to give the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead which they carried into the third period. In the final frame, William Karlsson and Nicolas Roy scored 37 seconds apart to establish a 4-1 lead for the visitors. New Jersey received goals from Tomas Tatar and Jimmy Vesey late in the third, but an empty-net goal by Jonathan Marchessault sealed the 5-3 victory.

Dylan Coghlan:Coghlan scored his second goal of the season and added an assist for a two-point night.
Reilly Smith: Smith picked up two assists in the victory.
William Karlsson: Karlsson picked up two points with a goal and an assist.
Jonathan Marchessault: Marchessault notched two points of his own with a goal and an assist.

Vegas has put up a 6-2-0 record so far in December and is on its second three-game win streak of the month.
