Flyers saddened by the passing of former HC and GM Bob McCammon

The Philadelphia Flyers are saddened by the passing of former head coach and general manager Bob McCammon.

McCammon was the head coach of the Flyers from July 6, 1978 through January 30, 1979, and then returned to the position on March 19, 1982. He added the duties of general manager on May 27, 1983 and held both roles until April 25, 1984.

McCammon also spent several years as the head coach of the team's American Hockey League affiliate at the time, the Maine Mariners, leading them to Calder Cup championships in 1978 and 1979 as well as a third Calder Cup Finals appearance in 1981.

The Flyers send their condolences to Bob's wife Maureen and his family.
