PHILADELPHIA (November 16, 2023) – The Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo announced today that applications are now being accepted for the Flyers Hometown Assist program, which will award a half-million dollars in free advertising assets to five local small businesses. An additional ten small businesses will receive a hospitality suite for a Flyers game – a significant business development asset valued in the thousands of dollars. The Flyers first announced the Flyers Hometown Assist program in the summer of 2020, during the height of the pandemic.
Local small businesses can apply for the Hometown Assist program starting today at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com/Community. Applications will be accepted through December 4.
“Since its inception, the Flyers Hometown Assist program has been able to provide support and make a difference for small businesses in Philadelphia,” said Blair Listino, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Philadelphia Flyers. “As an organization, we are proud to provide support and awareness for small independent businesses striving to make their mark in Philadelphia.”
Once winners are selected by the Flyers and Wells Fargo, five local small businesses will receive advertising assets valued at $100,000 spanning the ’23-24 regular season. The packages include radio commercials, digital/social promotions, and in-arena activations, including LED signage.The strength and reach of the Flyers brand, which brings tens of thousands of fans and potential customers to Wells Fargo Center every week and reaches millions of fans through TV and radio broadcasts, social media channels, and more, is what powers the Flyers Hometown Assist program and brings so much value to local businesses.
Applicant businesses must be independently owned and operated, have reported no more than $3 million in annual revenue over the past three years, and be headquartered and operated within the Greater Philadelphia Area.
