With summer officially underway, the Philadelphia Flyers are introducing a socially-distant version of their annual summertime Community Caravan Tour. The hockey club announced today details for the Caravan, a traveling pep rally set to hype fans up for playoff hockey in the heat.

The Caravan will kick off by taking things off the ice and down the shore with two stops along the Jersey shoreline on July 7 and 9 and will continue throughout the summer with additional, to be announced, stops across the Greater Philadelphia Area. The first two Caravan stops will lead into the Flyers return to play on July 10 as the team begins preparation for the upcoming 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Sidelining the hands-on activities of years' past, the Flyers have transformed the Community Caravan into a socially-distant mobile pep rally featuring the Flyers own DJ Reed Streets, In-Arena Host Andrea Helfrich, Flyers Alumni, the Flyers Ice Team and, of course, Gritty on a tandem bike with his men in black! The Caravan will also include exclusive giveaways with a summertime twist that will help fans gear up for playoffs including beach balls, bucket hats, Frisbees, kites and sunglasses.

"Due to the ongoing pandemic, we've adapted the format of the Caravan to create a safe and engaging event series that our fans will enjoy," said Mark Zarthar, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center. "With postseason hockey to occur at neutral locations, we are eager to use the Caravan to bring playoff excitement into our local communities this summer."

The 2020 Community Caravan dates and locations include:

Tuesday, July 7 - 5-6 p.m.
North Wildwood, NJ

Thursday, July 9 - 5-6 p.m.
Ocean City, NJ

\\Caravan routes and additional tour stops will be announced at a later date.
