Former Devil, Keith Kinkaid will come back to his former team after being dealt to the Blue Jackets at the trade deadline. The Devils acquired Columbus's 2022 fifth-round draft choice in the deal. Kinkaid spent 5 years in the Devils organization beginning in 2012-13. The Farmingville, NY native played in 151 games, posting a 132-64-55 record while sporting the Devils logo on his chest. Kinkaid allowed 399 goals, recording a 2.90 in his time in New Jersey. Kinkaid has yet to suit up for Columbus since being traded.
Blake Coleman and Taylor Hall scored the lone-goals against the Blue Jackets this season for the Devils. Cam Atkinson (3G-1A) and Artemi Panarin (2G-2A) lead Columbus in scoring with four points each.
