Germany continues to make a statement in the hockey world, churning out more and more top-end prospects. You can add John-Jason Peterka's name to that growing list now.
The 5-11, 192-pound right-winger is NHL Central Scouting's seventh-ranked European skater in the upcoming 2020 NHL Draft, and the second of three Germans in their top 11.
Peterka is described as having quite the motor. His compete level is very high, he attacks pucks and is unrelenting. NHL Central Scouting compares him to Jonathan Huberdeau of the Florida Panthers.
"An offensive-minded two-way forward who scored six points and had 15 shots on goal in seven games for Germany at the 2020 World Juniors has good readiness to shoot from tough angles," said NHL.com's Mike Morreale. "He works hard and exhibits a lot of intensity and determination each shift."
In addition to that intense nature of his game, NHL Central Scouting lauds his creativity, hard work, attitude, and instincts. He's currently ranked in the mid-twenties range of this year's draft.
