Hello! Petey here. I have been asked by the Canucks to write a little bit about my all-star experience in San Jose.

I had an early morning flight to San Jose from Vancouver Thursday morning, so although there was a lot going on when I got here, sleep was at the top of my list. After a powerful power nap, I did a little shopping and got ready for the NHL Media Day. Part of it took place in my hotel, so there were players everywhere and it was nice to meet some of them.
I was excited for the event and also a bit nervous. I've been watching guys like Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns for a long time, and then I ran into Burns in the hallway and was talking to Karlsson before we got introduced at the media event. Very cool.
There was quite a bit of media at the event, but the questions were pretty much the same: am I surprised at how well the season is going, am I feeling more comfortable in the NHL and who am I most excited to meet this weekend. The answers are yes, yes and the Swedish players! Always nice to meet my fellow countrymen.

After a nice dinner with my agent to end the night, I got another big sleep to prepare for today's activities. The day started with a tour of Apple Park, the corporate headquarters of Apple - the technology company, not the fruit! But they do have fruit trees there, as we learned on the tour. It was very cool to see that incredible facility; all the walking we did was a great warm-up for the skills competition tonight!
I will be competing in a couple events, but I'm not sure if I can reveal which ones yet. Thank you for the support on social media, I can tell Canucks fans are excited to watch me compete and I'll try my best!
