Canadiens recall Nikita Scherbak

The 22-year-old forward was on a conditioning stint with the AHL's Laval Rocket

CALGARY - The Canadiens announced on Wednesday that forward Nikita Scherbak has been recalled following a conditioning stint with the AHL's Laval Rocket.

The 22-year-old forward will not join the Habs in Calgary, though. He will remain in Montreal for treatment for a lower-body injury.
In five games with the Rocket, Scherbak scored one goal.
He has yet to play a game with the Canadiens so far this season.
