Grigorenko

Forward Mikhail Grigorenko agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth a reported $1.3 million with the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

Grigorenko, 22, who was a restricted free agent, was scheduled to have an arbitration hearing in Toronto on Friday. He had six goals and 21 assists in 74 games last season, his first with Colorado.
The Avalanche acquired Grigorenko from the Buffalo Sabres as part of the trade for center Ryan O'Reilly on June 26, 2015, and signed him to a one-year contract on July 16, 2015. A first-round pick (No. 12) by the Sabres at the 2012 NHL Draft, the Khabarovsk, Russia native has 12 goals and 29 assists in 142 games over four seasons with Buffalo and Colorado.
