The Colorado Avalanche dropped a 3-2 result to the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night at Climate Pledge Arena.
Cale Makar and Artturi Lehkonen scored in the loss. Pavel Francouz made 26 saves on 29 shots.

THE SCORING:
1st Period:
1:12 - SEA 1, COL 0 -Cole Lind grabs Will Borgen's stretch pass off the end boards and beats Pavel Francouz with a backhand-to-forehand sequence. Victor Rask also picked up an assist.
5:23 - SEA 2, COL 0 - Jordan Eberle sniped a snap shot over Francouz's shoulder to double Seattle's lead 2-0. Matty Beniers and Ryan Donato collected the assists.
14:44 - SEA 3, COL 0 -Jared McCann's shot deflected off Yanni Gourde's skate to extend Seattle's lead 3-0. Karson Kuhlman also picked up an assist.
17:37 - SEA 3, COL 1 - Nazem Kadri and Cale Makar exchange give and go in the low slot and Makar roofed his shot over Grubauer to put Colorado on the board. J.T. Compher also notched an assist.
2nd Period:
No goals.
3rd Period:
16:40 - SEA 3, COL 1 -Artturi Lehkonen cleaned up a loose puck at the net front to cut Colorado's deficit down 3-2. Valeri Nichushkin and Nathan MacKinnon each picked up assists.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
The Avalanche were 0-for-2 on the power play and 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.
GOALTENDING BATTLE:
Pavel Francous made 26 saves on 29 shots for the Avalanche.
Philipp Grubauer made 25 saves on 27 shots for the Kraken.
NOTEBOOK:
Francouz made his 17th start of the season and his record dropped to 15-4-1…Makar - who set a franchise record for most points in a single season by a defenseman with 83 points (26G, 57A) last game - scored his 27th goal of the season... Lehkonen scored his 17th goal of the season and now has goals in three of his last four games... Nazem Kadri returned to the lineup for the first time since March 31. Kadri earned the primary assist on Makar's goal… With an assist on Lehkonen's goal, Valeri Nichushkin now has a six-game point streak.
