We'll start with a quick recap of yesterday where Sens head coach Guy Boucher shared that both Zack Smith and Bobby Ryan won't be available tonight. Smith is set to undergo an MRI and is expected to miss at least two weeks while the diagnosis for Ryan is a bit more positive and he could return to action on Wednesday against the Bruins.
With Smith and Ryan sidelined, Filip Chlapik and Chris DiDomenico will check into the line-up tonight which means the coach will need to break out the blender when putting line combos together against the Panthers.
"The problem is that you're on the road," said Boucher. "I'm going to have to shuffle lines for sure tonight like I've been doing the last few games."
Dion Phaneuf will miss his second consecutive game after staying in Ottawa for the birth of his first child on Thursday. Andreas Englund was recalled from Belleville but is expected to be the extra skater with the same 6 defencemen that played against Tampa Bay set to roll again tonight.
Given what we saw at the Sens' practice yesterday, here are some potential forward lines for tonight...
