Finnigan's 8: March 7, 2022

Tyler Boucher (Ottawa/OHL)Season totals: 10GP / 3G / 3A / 8PIM / -3
Boucher continues to find his footing in the OHL as he tallied three points in three contests this past week.
He buried his third goal of the season on March 1 in a 5-3 road win in Oshawa and in the same game, notched a point for his second career multi-point OHL game.
He was pointless in a 2-1 loss to Hamilton three days later before he added an assist the next day as the 67's lost 5-2 in Barrie.
Ottawa sits fourth in the East Division and occupies seventh spot in the Eastern Conference with a 23-25-6 record.
Philippe Daoust (Saint John/QMJHL)Season totals: 14GP / 10G / 10A / 2PIM / +9
In three games this week, Daoust put up six points as the Sea Dogs went 3-0 and score an astonishing 24 goals.
Despite a 7-1 win over Halifax on March 2, Daoust was held pointless but he made up for that the rest of the week. He had two goals and an assist in a 7-3 victory over cape Breton on Saturday and the next day would score once and add two assists in a 10-2 victory over the Mooseheads.
In 14 games since Daoust joined Saint John, the Sea Dogs have gone 10-3-1 and now sit fifth in the QMJHL standings. Daoust's 1.43 points per game average is the second best on the team.
Ridly Greig (Brandon/WHL)Season totals: 37GP / 25G / 35A / 84PIM / +25
Simply put, Ridly Greig continues to amaze. The Brandon captain had himself a seven-point week but the Wheat Kings could only manage one victory.
Greig matched his season high with three assists on March 2 as Brandon lost 7-6 to Regina. He'd notch an assist two days later in a 6-3 win over Lethbridge before he scored twice and had an assist in a 6-5 loss in Moose Jaw. With another sensational week, Greig is currently riding a 10-game point streak (four goals, 16 assists).
His 60 points match a career high from 2019-20 while with his 35th assist Saturday set a new season best. Greig sits 20th in WHL scoring but his 1.62 points per game average is the second best in the league. The Wheat Kings are 27-18-5 this year and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference.
Tyler Kleven (North Dakota/NCAA)Season totals: 35G / 6G / 3A / 76PIM / +16
Kleven's sixth goal of the year was arguably his biggest of the season as he scored the overtime winner Friday night in a 5-4 victory over Omaha to ensure UND a share of the Penrose Cup.
It marked the third straight Penrose Cup for the Fighting Hawks, and the second in the career of Kleven; however, this year's trophy was split with Denver as after North Dakota's 4-1 loss to Omaha Saturday, coupled with Denver's victory over Colorado College, it marked a share in first place for the NCHC Regular Season.
Kleven's 76 penalty minutes this season are the sixth most in the NCAA. The Fighting Hawks will now face Colorado College in the first round of the NCHC Playoffs.
Carson Latimer (Prince Albert/WHL)Season totals: 46GP / 13G / 19A / 18PIM / +5
Latimer notched his seventh goal in a Raiders uniform Friday night in a 5-3 win in Moose Jaw. His side collected a huge win the following day as they beat the Winnipeg ICE 3-2 in overtime to move into 10th place in the Eastern Conference, just two points out of a playoff spot.
Viktor Lodin (Timra/SHL)Season totals: 38GP / 10G / 13A / 43PIM / 0+/-
Lodin reached double digits in goals with a two-goal, three-point, performance Friday as Timra beat Brynas 6-2. It was his first multi-goal game of the season and first three-point effort.
The 22-year-old centre was held pointless in his side's two other games this past week as Timra continue to sit in the SHL Playout. They are currently four points from safety with one-game in hand on fellow Sens prospect Eric Engstrand's Malmo team.
Zack Ostapchuk (Vancouver/WHL)Season totals: 45GP / 16G / 14A / 45PIM / -1
Ostapchuk's week started with a bang as he scored twice in a 4-3 overtime loss to Kamloops.
The second-round pick was held pointless the rest of the week as the Giants dropped a home-and-home with Kelowna.
The 18-year-old sits second in goals with 16 while his 30 points are the third most among active Vancouver skaters. The Giants hold sixth spot in the Western Conference with a 20-28-3 record but sit 29 points behind the fifth-placed Rockets.
Jonny Tychonick (Omaha/NCAA)Season totals: 22GP / 1G / 5A / 17PIM / -5
In a pair of games against his former teammates at North Dakota, Tychonick did all he could to try and deny them a third straight Penrose Cup.
In Friday's 5-4 overtime loss, Tychonick had two assists to register his first multi-point game of the season. He was pointless Saturday in a 4-1 victory over UND but the win did mean North Dakota split the Penrose Cup with Denver and were thus denied the trophy outright.
Omaha will face Western Michigan in the NCHC quarterfinals next week.
