Sabres' home opener set for Oct. 4 vs. Boston

Let the countdown begin.
The Buffalo Sabres will open the home portion of their 2018-19 schedule against the Boston Bruins at KeyBank Center on Thursday, Oct. 4, the team announced Wednesday.

The Bruins will be playing the second of back-to-back games, with their season set to begin in Washington against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Capitals on Oct. 3.
The remainder of the schedule will be announced Thursday as part of a league-wide reveal on NHL Network beginning at 5 p.m.
