In addition, he recorded his first career AHL assist and posted a plus-two rating on Jan. 11 at Rochester.
The 6-2, 193-pounder has skated in 10 games with the Rangers this season, registering four goals and four assists for eight points, along with a plus-four rating and four penalty minutes. He tallied his first career NHL assist/point while making his NHL debut on Oct. 13 against the NY Islanders, and he recorded his first career NHL goal on Nov. 5 at Boston.
Buchnevich posted a four-game goal/point streak from Nov. 5 - Nov. 12, recording six points (four goals, two assists) over the span.
