Starting out Russia, goaltender Igor Shesterkin is off to a great start with SKA Saint Petersburg of the KHL. The 2014 pick is 5-1-1 with a .905 save percentage and a 2.49 goals against average with one shutout through eight games.
Defenseman Tarmo Reunanen notched a pair of assists for TUTO in its win over Espoo United on Friday in Mestis, a junior league in Finland. The 2016 fourth-round pick has three assists through four games and is a plus-6.
Rounding out the action in Europe, 2015 fourth-round pick Daniel Bernhardt was held off the scoresheet in his first game of the season for Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Elite League.
Over in the Western Hockey League, 2015 fourth-round pick Brad Morrison picked up an assist and four penalty minutes for Prince George, who defeated Victoria, 3-1, in the season-opener.
