NEW YORK, December 9, 2014 - New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the team has loaned forward Anthony Duclair to Team Canada for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Duclair, 19, has skated in 18 games with the Rangers this season, registering one goal and six assists for seven points, along with a plus-four rating. He is tied for eighth among NHL rookies in assists and is tied for ninth among NHL rookies in plus/minus rating this season. Duclair made his NHL debut on October 9 at St. Louis and tallied his first career NHL point with an assist in a two-point effort on October 11 at Columbus. He registered his first career NHL goal on October 27 vs. Minnesota.
The Pointe-Claire, Quebec native has represented Canada in several international tournaments. Most recently, Duclair helped Team Canada capture a gold medal at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament by registering two points (one goal, one assist) in five games.
The 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship will be held in Montreal and Toronto and takes place from December 26 to January 5.
